This past year one of my closest friends, had asked me to be in her wedding party. I was extremely honored to be apart of something so big and important to her. Being that I have never been in a wedding (besides being a flower girl years ago), I wasn't sure what to make for her bridal party gift. After doing some research and stumbling across the "wedding recipe box" gifts, I decided to design my own.
I asked all the girls in the wedding party to give me a bunch of their favorite recipes. Shorty after, and knowing exactly how much content I was dealing with, I designed the cards to fit into a plain box I found at a paper store. The last task was to design the cover of the box. I wanted it to be elegant, yet fun. I drew up the design and had a friend use his vinyl cutter to knock out the graphic - in order to apply it to the box.
When I handed it to her at her party the look on her face was priceless. All of her friends and family members were asking to fill out the extra cards I had made so they could also share their most delicious recipes as well. I'd say the gift was a total success.
